The project is part of the reform " Transformation of universities to adapt to new forms of learning and changing needs of the labour market", which aims to initiate and accelerate the transformation of universities in terms of content and forms of teaching.
In terms of content, the range of study programmes will be adapted to new trends and the changing needs of the labour market, in particular the digital transformation.
The academic focus of existing degree programmes will also be adapted to include a significant proportion of work-based learning to better respond to labour market needs.
The reform will also facilitate the transition to new, mainly digital forms of learning (blended learning, distance learning).
Measures will also focus on developing those capacities that would enable universities to provide retraining and up-skilling courses, especially for workers in knowledge-intensive areas.
The project is divided into 3 specific objectives, the fulfilment of which will increase the digitisation of teaching, enable an increase in the share of combined and distance learning and digitisation of activities directly related to the provision of educational activities and administrative tasks associated with the study agenda.
Two new study programmes will also be created:
• Omics data analysis and biotechnology - a follow-up Master's degree programme at the Faculty of Science
• Agriculture and Technology 4.0 - a doctoral programme at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology
The project is financially supported by 138 067 731 CZK through the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
