5G demonstrative applications - City Camera Security and Surveillance System - 5G Ústí nad Labem

The subject of the submitted project is the construction of a comprehensive security system for the city by means of a camera system and overall digitalization ensured by the extension of the existing MKDS with camera points newly connected via a 5G network according to 3GPP specifications to the MKDS monitoring centre of the Municipal Police of Ústí nad Labem.

Data from cameras throughout the city will therefore be transmitted via 5G signal to the operations centre of the city police, which will ensure a higher level of control and security in the city streets.

A key point are locations unavailable for fixed fibre optic infrastructure, where the cost of building a connection has so far made it impossible to secure these locations via MKDS.
